The two articles that you are referring to happened to be in a journal format. I do not know if these articles were peer-reviewed or not. You would have to contact the authors about that. The IAS Newsletter is not going to be considered a second venue for research but a forum for all kinds of information to the aroid community. Thank you for your interest in the IAS Newsletter.
